MILK ALLERGEN ALERT FOR PERDUE® CHICKEN NUGGETS SOLD AT BJ'S
Perdue Farms, in cooperation with the USDA, has voluntarily recalled 64 cases of three-packs of refrigerated PERDUE® Original Chicken Breast Nuggets sold exclusively through BJ’s Wholesale Club stores because the product was prepared using an ingredient blend that contained milk, which was not declared on the label.
The only PERDUE® nuggets impacted by this recall are the PERDUE® Original Chicken Breast Nuggets UPC (bar code) “72745-82110” with a “Sell By” date of “Dec. 16, 2012.” The chicken breast nuggets were distributed only to BJ’s Wholesale Clubs in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. If you or members of your household are allergic to milk products, do not consume this product, but return it to your retailer for a full refund.
An incorrect ingredient label was applied only to PERDUE® Original Chicken Breast Nuggets sold in three-packs of refrigerated trays at select BJ’s stores and only on packages with a “Sell-By” date of Dec. 16, 2012. No other PERDUE® nuggets or other PERDUE® products are involved in the recall.
There have been no reports of illness associated with the recalled product. Anyone concerned about an allergic reaction should contact a physician.
We apologize for any concern or inconvenience this may have caused. If you have additional questions or concerns, please call 1-800-4-PERDUE® (1-800-473-7383) or go to the USDA’s website.
